northstory notes – Aug 23, 2013

This week’s random act of kindness award goes to my friend April who bestowed me with this awesome bottle of wine that I will fully enjoy trying out for the first time in the near future.

As well as to the big ball of fire in the sky – the sun – that has somehow thought that the month of August was October this year. So it disappeared. And with it came wind and cold and I heard “Below Seasonal Temps” on the weather forecasts so many times I was thinking it was going to be time to break out the Sorel’s by September.

Well it came back. And with it started to move along all the the green tomatoes waiting to ripen in our backyard.

With TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) taking over Toronto in September, you should see the great Film Festival window display Renee from Re:Creative did.

So on that note because I am on vacation and taking a week off of my blog next week, I will see everyone in September!

PS – You do not and I repeat do not see the stucco ceiling in the above photos. Understood. It does not exist and you must pretend it doesn’t exist in any future home update posts that I ever do. Because as long we’re living in our suburban McHome, it’s “stuck”. Oh that was just terrible.
