Rustic Wreath & a Creative Canadian Blogger Christmas Hop!

Rustic Wreath & a Creative Canadian Blogger Christmas Hop!

Christmas decorating in our home can cause a bit of war between my self and my husband James. See, I tend to lean towards a minimalist Scandinavian look whereas he leans towards rustic and traditional. The first year we moved into our home I swear we almost drew straws to decide on light colours. I won the exterior of the house (all white) and he won the tree (colorful).

Because James is far more into Christmas than I am – a feat that is possible despite every project you see on my blog – he usually takes over for Christmas decorating. This is part of the reason why a ton of the projects you see on here are a combination of both farmhouse meets IKEA as I try to make projects that compliment both styles together and make everyone happy.

So for our Vintage Rustic Christmas Hop, I decided to make a simple rustic wreath. Which is completely different from last years Scandinavian influenced wreath.

This took me 10 minutes to make. So much so that I didn’t even think to take any photos. But it’s pretty self explanatory.

I took a willow wreath form that I re-use over and over, wrapped it with the gorgeous Stripes Ribbon from May Arts. After I hot glued some wooden stars to twine, wrapped some dense yew from my front yard with bells and tied it all to the wreath form.

Literally 10 minutes.

Can you tell the Christmas crazy has started over here.

This is the second of at least four wreaths I am making this season. Four. I don’t even know who I am anymore.

Did I mention we have four Christmas trees? Shhh…
