As many of you know I am working with Frigidaire as a Brand Ambassador as part of their #TestDriveMoms group. This is where I get to share with you all the many reasons why I could probably marry my Frigidaire Gallery Orbit Clean Dishwasher and why you should have one join your home. All the people who have been reading my blogs for a while know that I am a little OCD when it comes to cleaning. I love owning the best splitmats for my vinyl records and the best steam vacumes too. So how could I not get indulged into Firgidaire.
I’ll be blunt, since its addition to our family I (read: we) have been spoiled and it has set this bar of my expectations of what an appliance can do. So after it being a part of our family for awhile, Frigidaire asked us what has changed thanks to the dishwasher with how we clean our dishes, what our best cleaning tips were and which cleaning style we best fell under.
I showed the following categories to my husband James because he knows me the best and would be able to help me choose wisely.
My husband looked at them and then looked at me and said “Where’s the one that says “I hate cleaning“. No wait, where’s the one that says “I don’t clean.”
I looked at him. Silence. I did want to say something, but as I recently just hired a plumbing and rooter company to help fix various parts of the house, I thought it was better if I remain quiet cause he would definitely bring up this point in response to anything I say.
That affectionate silent response can be seen throughout many of my posts as per our conversations. The worst part is, he’s right. I hate cleaning. I really do and I feel awful for admitting that. I like clean environments and they are important to me, it’s the process I hate. I avoid dusting, vacuuming and toilets bowls like the plague and I clean because I have to not because I want to. So I thought what could I possibly offer you as a cleaning tip? At the same time I read the Serene Superstar one and got hives. I am the type of person that will cook Christmas dinner and not be able to calmly eat it until all the dishes were washed and put away.
Just no. It’s not going to happen.
With that I realized that I do have a cleaning category and it falls under the the best if not biggest sanity saving kitchen cleaning tip I can give anyone – especially for those us who hate cleaning.
It’s called “The Un-Procastinator” and yes I made up that word.
Don’t do later what you can do now. What I have found has helped me so much with daily dish clean up is making sure that my Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher is emptied at night before I go to bed. There are few things I hate and ruin my morning more than waking up to a sink full of dishes from the kids bedtime snacks because I didn’t have an empty dishwasher to put the dirty dishes in. Because let’s be honest, hand washing dishes at 11 pm just is not something any tired mother wants to do.
Just envision it. A giant sink full of plates with sticky residue, dried applesauce bowls, cereal crumbs mixed with juice. And then in the morning you wake up and it’s still there. Then you try and get your coffee maker filled with water and instead you’re trying to maneuver around all the dirty dishes in your sink. If that isn’t fun enough, then you have to go about emptying the dishwasher, refilling it and along with the 100 other things that you need to do to rush out of the house in the morning.
Imagine a world without that. Where you wake up to an empty sink and can put your kids breakfast plates right into the dishwasher and have your clean counter top back to prep their lunches on. Sounds like utopia right? Well it can be your morning too.
Do not procrastinate. Empty your dishwasher at night!
Now I know a lot of people choose to run their dishwasher at night to save on Energy and their Hydro Bills. There is also the fact that if your kitchen is near your living room, it can be loud as hell when it runs. That was our old situation. Our kitchen is next to our living room where the TV is and if it was running, there was no way you could hear the TV and the dish washing cycle lasted forever.
Not with this one. That’s what I mean by spoiled. Not only does the Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher have an Energy Saving cycle (which I talked about my love for when it first joined our home) so you don’t have to worry about running it during non-peak hours. On top of that it so quiet that 99% of the time I forget it is on. There is also the 30 minute Quick Wash cycle. 30 minutes and your dishes are clean! That means you can run your dishwasher and have it emptied out before you go to sleep.
So get your morning routine in the kitchen back, save your sanityand join me in Un-Procrastinating movement, which you can now do thanks to the Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher.
