A review of Leef iBridge & a Giveaway!

It would be lovely if every time Apple released an iPhone we could run out and buy one and have a million new Gigabyte’s to use to our heart’s content. Real life doesn’t always work that way. For all of last year my beloved iPhone 5S was really starting to show its age and there was never ever enough storage space. It was 16 GB and if you’re laughing it’s because you know that pain. The famous “You do not have enough storage space” notification when you try to take a photo of your kids or download an app.

So when they asked if I wanted to review a product that could change that, I was all ears. Enter the Leef iBridge Mobile Memory. It’s an external storage device that you plug into your iPhone or iPad that allows you just that. Extra memory when you need it.

That’s my daughter’s iPad case by the way. Yes she loves sushi.

She was like Mom why are you borrowing my iPad and I was like because I have this fancy extra memory storage device that I’d like to test on it. According to my friend Tara at Suburble (we got to chatting one night about technology and computers as she was having some technical issues with hers and it led to us talking about transferring files), one of the most challenging things about iPads is the ability to transfer files off of it. There are multiple reasons for this, one of which is that iPad’s don’t have a USB port. This device pretty much makes that less complicated and Leef’s website has great instructions on how to do just that.

Now I primarily use the Leef iBridge for our phones and it is SO easy to use. You plug it into your phone like this:

Then you download the Leef app.

And follow the most self explanatory instructions ever.

Some of the highlights of the Leef iBridge are:

  • You can take photos and video directly on the Leef iBridge.
  • Store movies and music for long road trips to watch, use at the gym etc and change them up as you wish.
  • Back up your entire camera roll instantly.
  • It’s small and portable and the loop design easily clips onto your key chain.
  • If you want to charge your phone and watch movies/listen to music at the same time, the Leef ChargeThru cable (sold separately) allows you to easily do so.

I go to a lot of press events, shows and launches and a lot of the time I don’t necessarily want business or blog related photos on my personal phone. This way they can all be stored away on the iBridge instead. It helps me keep work projects separate and that way I don’t have photos of my kids mixed up with home decor. Because moving them around manually on my computer after I upload them is way too time consuming. This takes care of that instantly.

Want to try one out for yourself? Leef is giving one lucky reader a chance to Win their own Leef iBridge. So you never run out of storage space at the worst time.
