President’s Choice #LeapofFlavour Contest

If you follow me on Instagram you’ve probably seen me post a ton of President’s Choice (that’s PC for short) products. There are two reasons for this.

A) My gym is located inside a Real Canadian SuperStore. And if you ask any woman at that gym there’s this long running joke about how we love to do our shopping at SuperStore because how else are we going to sneak in our Joe Fresh and home decor purchases with our groceries.

B) President’s Choice products are addicting.

Between their home decor to food, I send my husband James about a ton of text message photos a month of “We totally need this in our home right?” or his favourite “Look what we just bought.”

Oh you do this all the time with your spouse too. Don’t lie.

Things like this waffle blanket and all the other blankets and throws for the couches.

And storage boxes. That I don’t have to make. Awesome!

And the chocolate that makes you forget that you have a gym membership. Especially around Christmas time.

Blue lanterns for somebody’s camping themed birthday party next month.

Let alone my completely unhealthy addiction to their Canada Day merchandise. I mean I matched the red that I painted the back of our front door to my PC water bottle.

My water bottle.

Which I never realized how many appearances it has made in my Instagram feed until now.

Don’t forget the nutcrackers.

But when it comes to ultimate PC food products, it’s a tie in our house between their PC Swedish Meatballs and based on the amount of empty cans from this I have saved around the house, The Great Canadian Coffee.

Well. President’s Choice is having a Great Contest on right now that combines my love of Instagram and my love of their products.

By the way the The Great Canadian Coffee is getting some heavy competition in this house from this guy. He’s called an Indigo Rose tomato from the PC Mighty Mato  line and it is a purple-black tomato on the outside but red on the inside. I am completely smitten.

    Growing Up in the Garden
    July 15, 2014 at 11:35 pm

This is my second summer with Indigo Rose in the garden and it is a stunning specimen indeed! It catches everyone’s eye. I find myself going in for a closer look every time I walk by it. I love it and the tomatoes have great flavor too. And, talk about a productive plant! Can I go on? I think you already know….

It’s by far my fav new vegetable and so far has fared way better than the regular tomatoes. We’ve had a strange gardening season this year. Suddenly there are animals where previously they left everything alone and everything is taking longer to grow.

I’m not sure why, but I love nutcrackers! If I didn’t think Tyson would die inside, I would totally have a couple of them to display around the house.

Quick question… How is your gym located inside a giant (fabulous) mega store and WHY don’t we have that in America?!

Do they really not have gyms in supermarkets? We have these giant superstore grocery stores meets a houseware store (and Joe Fresh is in there) and at the top is a gym. This happens a lot. The worst part is there is a bakery UNDER the gym. Do you know what it’s like to do cardio at 7 am to the smell of fresh danishes?

I love the look of that purple tomato – so gorgeous! I didn’t see those water bottles at my Superstore this year… I want the one with the moose!

But we don’t have a gym in our store. There’s an insurance place, and a Subway, but no gym… (I hear you on the slipping home decor and Joe Fresh stuff into the cart, though. I HAVE to go down the clearance aisle. It’s a necessity every time I go to Superstore)
